A Message for Our First Communicants

Today you should have been wide awake, up from the crack of dawn,

Getting yourselves ready and putting your beautiful First Communion clothes on.

You should have been standing in the chapel singing and praying aloud,

With everyone around you all feeling so proud.

You were due to receive the Bread of Life for the very first time,

Instead it is better that you are safe and stay feeling fine.

These strange times are sure to pass,

And we will get to celebrate your special Mass.

Our school community will watch with pride and cheer,

As you receive your First Holy Communion in our next school year.

Remember we miss you all so very much,
