Our theme for World Book Day this year was ‘Book Food’. We chose Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as our book focus because we love chocolate 🍫. Roald Dahl has captivated our interest all week with his weird and wonderful use of descriptive language to describe characters, chocolate treats and sweets. This week we have had the opportunity to create our own characters, design sweet/chocolate wrappers and on Thursday we got to make Willy Wonka’s top hats and chocolate buns. The taste test was the best as the children got to eat their sweet treats while reading a book of their choice.
