Our school Gaelic teams proudly represented us at the recent St Ronan’s Blitz, held in the impressive new premises of St Ronan’s College. The event brought together schools from across the region for a day of exciting football, teamwork and sporting spirit.
Our A team delivered a fantastic performance throughout the group stages, showing grit and skill in every match. They progressed to the semi-final, where they faced Tannaghmore PS. In a closely contested game, our team narrowly missed out on a place in the final—but their determination and teamwork were second to none.
The B team, made up of emerging talent, gave a great account of themselves in the group stages. While they didn’t progress further, their enthusiasm and sportsmanship were a credit to the school and a promising sign of things to come.
A huge thank you to St Ronan’s for hosting such a well-organised and welcoming event. The new school grounds provided a brilliant backdrop for a day of sport and camaraderie.
Well done to all our players who took great pride in representing the school. We look forward to the next outing!
