🎨 Still Life Art Inspired by Food, Glorious Food 🍎🥖🧀
As part of our World Around Us topic, Food, Glorious Food, our pupils explored the vibrant world of still life art. Using a colourful selection of fruits as inspiration, we created beautiful displays that celebrated the shapes, textures, and colours of the foods we eat.
To bring our artwork to life, we used oil pastels, blending and layering to add depth and richness to our compositions. The children experimented with bold strokes and soft shading, capturing the essence of apples, bananas and more. The results were stunning — full of personality and colour!
This session not only helped us appreciate the beauty in everyday objects, but also gave us a chance to develop our fine motor skills, creativity, and observational techniques.
Take a look at our gallery below to see the wonderful work created by our talented young artists!
