This week in Primary 4, we put our writing skills to the test — and our taste buds too!
We’ve been learning all about bossy verbs (also known as imperative verbs) and how they help us write clear, step-by-step instructions. The children were tasked to write a set of instructions for decorating biscuits. Our class worked together to come up with the perfect recipe for fun and flavour!
Here’s a sneak peek at some of our fantastic instructions:
- Get a plain biscuit.
- Spread icing on top.
- Sprinkle on your favourite toppings.
- Add chocolate chips, sweets or fruit.
- Eat and enjoy!
Our instructions were so good, we just had to test them out — and we’re glad we did! The results were delicious, and everyone agreed that following bossy verbs made decorating easy and fun.
We’re so proud of our work and how well we used our writing skills in a real-life activity. Well done, Primary 4!
