🏅 Sports Day 2026: Everything You Need to Know!

We are absolutely delighted to welcome parents and guardians to our school Sports Day this year on Friday 12th June. It is always one of the highlights of the year and we can’t wait to see you there!

To help the day run smoothly, here is everything you need to know:

🏃 P1, R1/2, R3/4 & P3 (Primary 2 are on a trip this day)

📍Where: School Grounds  

⏰When: 9:30am – 11:30am (Non-competitive, fun activities)  

Snack Break: 10:30am (15 mins)  

☕ Coffee Cart: A coffee cart will be on-site throughout the morning for parents and staff to grab a hot drink or a treat.

🏆 P/R4 – P/R7 (Key Stage 2) 📍Where: Tír na nÓg  ⏰ When: 9:30am – 12:15pm
How it works:
Children should came to school at the normal time. Classes will walk down to Tír na nÓg together, leaving promptly at 9:00am and will walk back to school together after the events finish at 12:15pm.

🏘️House Points:
Keep an eye out for some healthy competition! The children will be earning points for their House Teams, with the winning team earning a trip to the park the following week.

 ☕ Coffee Cart:
A coffee cart will also be available at Tír na nÓg for the adults. Please note: Children are not permitted to buy from the coffee carts.

📌 Lunch Arrangements (P4–P7):
Just in case we are a little late getting back from the pitches, the school canteen will only be providing packed lunches on Friday. Children entitled to Free School Meals will receive a canteen packed lunch. All other P4–P7 children will need to bring a packed lunch from home.  

🎒 Sports Day Checklist Please ensure your child comes to school ready for the day with:

• PE Kit & Trainers 👟
• Packed Lunch (for P4-7) 🥪
• Water bottle 🥛
• Sun hat & sun cream (fingers crossed!) 🤞
• Rain coat (just in case!) ☔

For safety and safeguarding at both the school grounds and Tír na nÓg, we kindly ask that all parents, family members, and guardians:

• Stay behind the designated coned/taped areas and remain off the pitches.
