P7/R7 had an exciting afternoon at Tír na nÓg today as we participated in the annual ‘Parish cup’ competition held between Presentation Ps and St John the Baptist Ps!
All the boys and girls were given the opportunity to demonstrate the skills that they have practised in PE lessons this year, by playing a number of group games as well as participating in some skills based activities! The competition cumulated in two nail biting finals both against Presentation Primary School.
Our boys’ team showed great determination, teamwork and competitive spirit to emerge victorious!
Whilst our girls’ team, were unlucky to be narrowly beaten by a strong and skilful Presentation Team!
Congratulations to all that took part! All the children should be proud of themselves for the teamwork, fair play and level of skill that was on show throughout the afternoon!
A massive thank you to Tír na nÓg for hosting and also the coaches and PC from Healthy Kidz for organising a super event!
