Birds Nests

16th Apr 2019

As part of our Spring topic we have been learning about baby animals. We looked closely at how birds build nests up in the branches of trees to lay their eggs and we noticed lots of nests during our trip to Lurgan Park. We discovered that birds like their nests to be as cosy as possible and that they use lots of materials such as twigs, feathers, straw and moss to build them. After reading the story 'Spike's Best Nest,' we worked in pairs to create our own birds nests. We decided upon the best materials to use so that the nest would be comfortable and warm. We were very pleased with our creations. Can you spot the materials we used?
