We were privileged today to be able to bring our children from P4 & P7 to St John the Baptist’s Church for a wonderful service to launch Catholic Schools Week 2026, which will run next week.
From drummers to dancers, art work and singing, there were many talents on display from schools across the Diocese.
We were very proud to take part in the opening procession, with our board created by pupils in Rang 7/P7. Two pupils from P7 then spoke about how we try to demonstrate love and friendship in our school community. Another pupil from the Bunscoil also led us in prayer. These pupils, along with all those in attendance, were great ambassadors for our primary school.
Archbishop Eamonn Martin, assisted by Fr Sheehan reminded us that even through living normal lives, we can be a change for good and an example to others through every day acts of kindness. In this way we answer our call to holiness. 🙏🏻
