This week as part of our Confirmation preparations, P7Q were extremely fortunate to welcome one of our parents, Dermot Kelly and his colleague, Ogie from Redemptorist Youth Ministry Ireland to the Pastoral Centre to host a Confirmation retreat.
It was also lovely to welcome back Miss McCooe, who was invited to attend our retreat as part of her role as a diocesan advisor.
Both children and adults alike were treated to a fun filled, interactive and enjoyable morning filled with fun, games, treats as well as spiritual reflection.
Through a range of discussions and activities we had the chance to explore the meaning of Confirmation, the gifts that we receive through the Holy Spirit and also how our daily actions can bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit as we strive to live Spirit Filled lives.
We also enjoyed learning about the inspirational live of Blessed Carlo Acutis, ‘A millennial Saint’
A massive thank you once again to Dermot and Ogie for hosting such an inspiring, enjoyable and fun filled session. We are looking forward to making our Confirmation next month.
