Our challenge last week was to create a paper structure that could support the weight of a P7 pupil!
We were amazed to discover that by joining many tubular structures together a bigger weight can be supported! (When we combined all our structures together, our paper tubes could even support the weight of P7 children … wow 🤯!!!
This type of engineering is used to help support and strengthen suspension bridges such as the amazing Mary McAleese Cable Stay Bridge!
