Thanks to you - exciting times lie ahead!

14th May 2025

We are delighted to share the fruits of a lot of hard work done by many members of our school community over the last two years. We have recently received the delivery of 33 iPads which you will see in use by children in P4 in the photographs. All 482 children in our school will enjoy use of the iPads and classes will have allocated time each week. I recently enjoyed visiting P4 where the children didn’t even realise they were enjoying a literacy-based lesson, such was the fun they were having. They were swept away by the resources available to them.

We have also been lucky enough to have been in the position to purchase a new maths scheme. This along with up-to-date ICT provision was right at the top of the staff’s wishlist for fundraising allocations. The scheme has already enhanced learning within numeracy and provided staff with an invaluable resource to deliver each attainment target within numeracy and mathematics.

Both acquisitions would not have been possible without the hard work of parent volunteers within the Cairde group, the hard work of school staff and their families, the wonderful children within the school, members of groups such as our student council and the support of our parents, our governors and the wider school community. Your generosity with your time and contributions have positively impacted on your children’s learning. Thank you.

We continue to fundraise for even more up to date iPads in an effort to give more children more time with such useful technology each week. Our next major fundraiser is the Summer Craft Fair on 14 June in school. It will follow the same format as our Christmas Craft Fair which was a great success. Lots of crafters and sellers have already booked tables. Hopefully we will see you there. Please see the school website for further detail.

Thank you all once again for your continued support.

Go raibh maith agaibh.
