Yes, you read that right! Primary 7 pupils are growing mould. We are investigating the conditions that lead to the growth of mould on pieces of bread, changing variables such as the amount of light, moisture and warmth. This links into our historical study of The Great Potato Famine, when the potato crops were affected by BLIGHT, a water mould.
