In our numeracy lessons the children have been learning about measuring using non-standard units such as glue sticks, scissors and pencils. In literacy we have been exploring the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to draw around our class giant and to use different objects from around our classroom to measure. The boys and girls had great fun estimating and measuring objects around our classroom.
