A what?! A shaduf is a device for raising and moving water from rivers to land, which was used by the Ancient Egyptians and is still in use in some parts of the world today. As part of the World Around Us: Farming theme, Primary 7 pupils made models and investigated the best point along the ‘pole’ for the lever mechanism.
