This week was Maths Week. We carried out lots of different practical activities involving number and shape. We worked together to show ways of making some numbers and recording our findings. As part of Shape and Space we looked at some 2D shapes. We discussed the properties of the square and the rectangle and we looked at the work of the artist Piet Mondrian who created pieces of art using squares and rectangles. We even made our own pieces of art using squares and rectangles. I think we did a fantastic job!
