New Addition to Our School: Saint Carlo Acutis Statue
27th Mar 2026
We are delighted to share some wonderful news with our school community!
A beautiful statue of Saint Carlo Acutis has been kindly donated to St John the Baptist Primary School / Bunscoil Eoin Baiste. This generous gift comes from our esteemed parish sacristan, Francis Hagan, whose thoughtfulness and continued support of our school are deeply appreciated.
Who was Saint Carlo Acutis?
Known as the "Cyber-Apostle of the Eucharist," Carlo Acutis was a young man who used his computer skills to document Eucharistic miracles around the world. He is a modern-day inspiration for our pupils, demonstrating how faith and modern technology can go hand-in-hand to do good in the world.
A Symbol of Faith
The statue will serve as a permanent reminder of Carlo’s message: "To always be close to Jesus, that's my life plan." We hope that seeing his image in our school will inspire our children to follow their own paths of kindness, dedication and faith.
A huge thank you to Francis for his kindness! Please do take a moment to view the statue next time you are visiting our school.
