As part of our work on measuring we carried out some activities to find the length of a pirate ship using non-standard units of measurement. We estimated how many glues and cutlasses the ship would be before we carried out the activity.
We also found out that we can measure using our span and stride also. We measured the width of the table, height of the chair and width of a bookcase using our span then we measured the length of the playground and corridor using our stride.
