Continuing our study of French artists, we looked at collage/ cutout techniques used by Henri Matisse. This style was named “Drawing with Scissors”.
The pupils noticed that his work is much more abstract and uses vivid colours. Despite the relative simplicity of these pieces, they are still very popular - Matisse’s most expensive piece sold for $80 million!
