We walked to the Drumcree Centre for a follow-up session with Jozef.
As well as revising last week’s terms and throws, today we learned to throw (and land safely!) from the standing position.
The new move was:
Ouchi-gari - major inner hook , throwing from standing
Past pupil Conor Creaney (Year 10 SJBC) was assisting Jozef this morning. Conor will be attending British School Championships next week in Sheffield - good luck!
Once again we had a great morning and thank Linda and the Drumcree Centre for hosting us. Huge thanks to Jozef for sharing his expertise and offering these Taster sessions.
If anyone is keen to join, children from age 7 -13 can join classes in the Drumcree Community Centre on Wednesdays 5.30-6.30 or Fridays 6-7pm.
