Today we launched our World Around Us theme of Bridges in Ireland with a group challenge.
With no prior knowledge, pupils were given the task of planning and constructing a free-standing bridge, capable of supporting some weight.
There was great collaboration and some of the creativity was very impressive. Perhaps we have some budding engineers within the class!
Over the coming weeks we will be completing more challenges, each exploring different aspects of design/ structure. Don’t forget to check the website for updates!
