As part of our ‘World Around Us’ topic, Primary 7 were given a challenge to build the tallest tower using cards!
The team with the tallest tower still standing after 20 minutes would be declared the winner!
This fun task reinforced how essential the centre of gravity is when designing a structure of any height.
The boys and girls had great fun participating in the activity (even if things got a little bit competitive between groups) and the winning tower stood proudly at approximately 55cm tall (annoyingly not as high as Mr Quinn’s winners at 68cm!)
