Painting With Scissors 🎨 ✂️ Artwork inspired by Henri Matisse in P7

We continued our theme of studying French artists by exploring the work of Henri Matisse. Matisse became known for his unusual technique of ‘painting by scissors’. The children could not believe that some pieces of his work “that a p1 could do” would go on to sell for over £80m. We then enjoyed experimenting with this ‘painting by scissors technique’ (with grand plans to sell our own masterpieces for millions) and created our own Matisse inspired artwork.
