Pilgrim Walk to Mark the Canonisation of Carlo Acutis
As you may already know, the young Italian Blessed, Carlo Acutis, will be canonised a Saint in Rome on Sunday, 27th April 2025. Blessed Carlo (1991–2006), a millennial with a deep love for the Eucharist, has become a symbol of youthful faith and modern holiness. Many young people across the Archdiocese feel a strong connection to him. Born in London to Italian parents and raised in Milan, Carlo was an ordinary teenager who lived an extraordinary life of devotion and trust in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
To mark the day of his canonisation, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, will host a special Pilgrim Walk dedicated to Carlo Acutis, led by Archbishop Eamon. The walk will begin at 10:00am on Sunday, 27th April, which will be followed by Mass at 11:00am, celebrating Carlo’s life, faith and journey to sainthood.
