Safer Internet Day 2026

3rd Feb 2026

Today our pupils took part in a range of engaging activities to celebrate Safer Internet Day 2026. This year’s theme encourages children to think carefully about how they use the internet and to develop the skills they need to stay safe, make responsible choices, and enjoy positive online experiences.

Across the school, classes explored age‑appropriate tasks focused on:

  • Understanding how to stay safe when using websites, apps, and online games
  • Recognising trustworthy information and knowing what to do if something feels wrong
  • Thinking about kindness, respect, and positive communication online
  • Learning when and how to tell a trusted adult about concerns

The children showed great enthusiasm and shared lots of thoughtful ideas about being safe and responsible digital citizens.

Information for Parents & Carers

To support families in continuing these important conversations at home, we have attached a Safer Internet Day 2026 parent letter.
This includes:

  • Practical advice for keeping children safe online
  • Useful links to recommended websites
  • Conversation starters to help you talk with your child about their online life
  • Guidance on supervising technology use, managing screen time, and setting up parental controls

We encourage all parents and carers to read through the information provided and take a few minutes to discuss online safety with your child. Working together, we can help ensure that all our pupils stay safe, make positive choices, and enjoy the best of what the digital world has to offer.
