This morning we welcomed our friends from Edenderry PS into our school to watch a powerful and thought provoking play staged by SRC. The drama aimed to promote the importance of diversity and the courage to speak out against discrimination. Through a series of compelling scenes, the performance highlighted real-life-challenges faced by individuals in many walks of society. The play encouraged empathy, unity and the responsibility we all share in creating an inclusive environment for everybody both inside and outside school. It was a fantastic and very professional performance that served as a reminder that silence in the face of injustice allows discrimination to persist and that every voice matters when we ‘speak up’ against inequality.
