St Malachy’s visit St John’s
We were delighted to welcome St Malachy’s Hurling and Camogie Club to St John the Baptist Primary School this week! The senior men’s team, who are the current Junior County Champions, proudly brought along their championship trophy as well as several others the club has won over the years.
The children were thrilled to meet some of the current players who are past pupils of our school. They shared their experiences, answered lots of questions, and inspired our pupils with stories of teamwork, dedication, and sporting success.
St Malachy’s is a fantastic community club with teams for boys and girls from Under-6 right through to Senior level. They offer a welcoming environment for anyone interested in hurling or camogie, and we would encourage any of our pupils who would like to get involved to reach out to the club.
New members will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities just off the Moy Road, which will also be used by County Armagh teams—a brilliant opportunity for young players to train in top-class surroundings.
A huge thank you to St Malachy’s for visiting and inspiring the next generation of players. We look forward to seeing some of our pupils wearing the green and white in the future!
