St. Patrick's Armagh Gaelic Blitz

20th Feb 2026
Our footballers travelled to St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh, to compete in a highly anticipated Gaelic Football Blitz. It was a day filled with skill, determination and fantastic sportsmanship as our teams took to the pitch against some of the best talent in the area.

Primary 6 Team: Finalists in a Thrilling Decider
The Primary 6 team put on a masterclass of teamwork throughout the group stages. With quick passing and clinical finishing, they fought their way through a series of tough encounters to reach the Grand Final.
In a nail-biting finish, the boys played with immense heart, narrowly missing out on the top spot. While they were beaten in the final, their silver medals are a testament to their hard work and progress this season. A huge thank you to Mr Hendron who coached this team today.

Primary 7: Semi-Final Heartbreak
Our Primary 7 team showed great leadership and physical strength on the field. After a string of impressive victories, they reached the Semi-Final, where they were involved in a tough battle. Although they were ultimately beaten, the boys kept their heads high and supported one another until the final whistle.
Highlights of the Day
Skill Display: Excellent point-scoring from distance and brave goalkeeping across both age groups.
Sportsmanship: Our pupils represented the school with pride, shaking hands and showing respect to both opponents and officials.

A huge thank you to St. Patrick’s Grammar School for hosting such a well-organised event and to the parents who travelled to Armagh to cheer the boys on. We are already looking forward to our next outing on the pitch!
