Stewed Apples

We talked about how Armagh is famous for growing apples. We wanted to find out the difference between the taste of eating apples and cooking apples. We learnt very quickly that cooking apples need sugar added to them as they are very bitter. We decided to make stewed apples and the children helped to peel and chop apples. After adding some sugar, most of us agreed that they tasted delicious!
