Under the Hawthorn Tree Dramatisation

Primary 7 pupils joined with the pupils from Edenderry Primary School this morning, as a Shared Education trip, to travel to The Marketplace Theatre, Armagh. We watched a production of “Under the Hawthorn Tree”, a novel by Marita Conlon McKenna, which we have been reading this term. It tells the story of three children during Famine Times in Ireland. We all really enjoyed this excellent production and many of the children are planning to read the next book in the trilogy!
