We have been continuing with our ‘energy’ topic and today we worked in groups to plan and make a simple wind turbine capable of lifting a plastic cup (with coins) off the floor to table height.
We were given the following materials;
scrap card
sellotape
masking tape
a pencil
scissors
string
plastic cups
Coins
a hairdryer
We definitely have some budding engineers in the making. Our winning team were able to design a wind turbine that could lift a cup holding 4 10p coins!
