Important: Pre-School and Primary School Admission Outcomes 2026

We would like to share important information from the Education Authority (EA) regarding the outcome of applications for Pre-School (Stage 1) and Primary School places for September 2026.
Key Dates for Your Diary
* Monday, 23 March 2026: Notification of application outcomes will be issued via email.
* Wednesday, 1 April 2026 (by 4:00 PM): Deadline to accept or reject a place offered through the EA Connect portal.
* Tuesday, 19 May 2026: Outcome notifications for Pre-School underage and late deferral applications.
What to Expect on Notification Day (23 March)
Emails will be sent to nearly 24,000 parents throughout the day. The EA intends for all parents to receive their notification by 1:00 PM. If you do not see an email by this time, please remember to check your junk mail or other folders.
How to View and Respond to Your Offer
While it is not strictly necessary to log in to the portal if you receive the email, you may do so to view more details or take action.
* Log In: Access your account at https://connect.eani.org.uk/parent using your registered email and password.
* View Outcome: Click the three dots on your submitted application and select ‘View Outcome’.
* Accept or Reject:
* To Accept: Click ‘View More Information’ and then ‘Accept School Place’. Please note that some offers may be conditional on providing verifying documents to the school.

* To Reject: Click ‘Reject School Place’. Be aware that if you reject a place, it will no longer be available for your child, and they may not secure an alternative.
If Your Child Was Not Selected:
If your child has not been selected for any of your listed preferences, you can:
* Add Additional Preferences: Log in to the portal to search for and add schools that still have places available.
* Appeal the Decision: Information on the right to appeal will be included in the notification.
